Trauma, Stress and Self Regulation with guest Dr. Eric Gentry

We’re pleased to have our very first guest on this episode of Building Resilience, and it’s a big one for us!

Dr. Eric Gentry of the Forward Facing Institute is an internationally recognized leader in the study and treatment of traumatic stress and compassion fatigue. He has trained over 100,000 health professionals over the past 20 years, and we’re two great big fans of his!

Dr. Gentry joins us on this episode to help explain more about the threat response from the cerebral perspective—literally! On this episode, we revisit the stress response—how to relax into high demand situations, and how to perform the famous “wet noodle”. He teaches us how to literally switch off our instincts and be present in the moment, simply by relaxing into our bodies. You won’t want to miss this episode!

Find out more about Dr. Gentry on the Forward Facing Institute’s website, contact him at [email protected], watch his YouTube Channel, or keep an eye out for his upcoming book, Forward Facing Freedom.

As always, don’t forget to find us on our website and join our Facebook group. See you next week!
