Following last week’s episode featuring the first half of my conversation on The Concussion Coach podcast, we continue the conversation in part 2.. Hosted by neurological Occupational Therapist and certified life coach Bethany Lewis, we dive into the importance of the nervous system, techniques for calming and relaxation, and the significance of self-compassion and tracking progress during recovery.

In this part of the conversation we discuss the importance of self-awareness when dealing with dysregulation and the need for repeated practice to build resilience. We also talk about strategies to promote relaxation and regulation, such as the “rag doll” technique and physical activities. We’ll also talk about the function of the vagus nerve, and the concept of recovery as an opportunity for growth.

This is an enlightening conversation—don’t miss it!
