I’m doing a series of episodes in May about communication. After last week’s episode about connection—I wanted to talk about what happens when that connection fails. And I’ve got just the person to help us explore that: Sheila MacDonald.
Sheila MacDonald is a speech-language pathologist who is passionate about communication and rebuilding competence in those who have experienced communication disability after brain injury. Her work includes the development of two standardized tests, the CCCABI referral tool, practice guidelines, research, and international collaboration.
Her acclaimed clinical short courses draw on years of experience in both hospitals and community practice where she now assists individuals with return to social, academic, and workplace communications. As a lifelong advocate, she is constantly seeking new ways to repair and celebrate connection.
